Overview: Looking for a Home Screen for your Android Tablet? Introducing Chameleon. Chameleon replaces the standard Android Home Screens and App Launcher with one that isn't just more useful. But more beautiful as well. You can set up multiple Home Screens with your own layout of widgets and apps, giving you the most relevant information that you want, when you want it. So whenever you unlock your device, you are presented with the Home Screen that is immediately valuable to you. Chameleon Home Screens can be set up based on GPS locations, WiFi networks and time ranges, allowing you to define which Home Screen is the most relevant for the situation.

It’s been an intense week of bug squashing and general improvements/fixes. We’ve accomplished a lot in one week, but it’s only the beginning. There are still a lot of fixes and enhancements coming, but this update should be a big improvement for users that have been experiencing difficulties.
Here are some of the things we’ve fixed/improved:
Several crash and freeze fixes/improvements.
Chameleon no longer requires external storage (SD card).
Added search button to Launcher title bar.
Prevent adding location context rule when no location is found.
Prevent going back from Home Screen.
Weather Widget uses same temperature units as last time.
Added Weather Widget location time-out.
Widget layout fixes.
Screen orientation layout fixes.
Pushing Home button now returns Chameleon to Home Screen.
Default set of pre-loaded App Tray applications are now saved.
Fixed wallpaper flicker when quickly switching dashboards.
Fixed bug where occasionally Widget orientation changes unexpectedly.
Fixed issue where incorrect icons might show for certain applications.
Fixed issue where application icons sometimes change.
Updated design for Home Screen Manager.
Here are some of the things we are still working on:
There aren’t enough widgets (no more widgets in this update, but subsequent updates will include more widgets).
Widgets appearing blank (widget is still there, but no content is displayed).
Widgets being drawn twice in the same area (text doubling).
Chameleon can take a long time to start.
Chameleon restarts when connecting/disconnecting from dock.
Chameleon not working with ROM “X” (our current focus is on maximizing compatibility with official Android versions and tablets).
